Life is full of stories and memories that shape us into who we are and who we will be; I see people as living, breathing novels all of which are equally as unique and fascinating, forever changing and updating. Below is a collection of images from pocket sketchbooks I carry around with me; all of them have been drawn by friends and strangers I have met while out and about. Often I ask people to draw the first thing that pops into their heads, hoping to capture on paper an impression of that person’s thoughts and a reflection of the various situations in which I find them. Each image is like a snapshot that represents a moment in time I have shared with someone in the most purest form; they are raw, unplanned - real. I feel that we come to be defined by those we meet and the places we go, therefore this collection of images is as much about others as it is me, over time they will come to be a kind of portrait generated through a collection of moments.
